The 4th of July is the celebration of the USA gaining their independence from the British. Now, my history isn’t great but the Declaration of Independence started in 1776 where the 13 American colonies severed their political connections to Great Britain. The Declaration summarized the colonists’ motivations for seeking independence
Despite being British, I thought it would be nice to celebrate with my fellow American friends.
The lawn at work was set up with tables and food stations and decorations were put up everywhere. Games were set up and a bouncy castle. It was such a beautiful day.
Things kicked off around 5, where the lawn filled up with families enjoying food and the music. There was a live band that played some awesome tunes.
At around 9:30 the fireworks were set off, with a 15 min display of color. It was such a fantastic day.
A 10, after a clean up, I left and went to bed!
